Programme Overview

Our Women Empowerment programme connects women from economically weaker backgrounds with practical vocational skills, tools, and support systems to build sustainable livelihoods. From sewing machines to SHG canteens, every initiative creates lasting economic independence.

Programme Objectives

Provide women with tools and vocational training to start income-generating activities
Encourage financial independence and reduce dependence on others
Build entrepreneurial skills, confidence, and business management ability
Establish community-based enterprises through Self Help Groups
Enable women to train and inspire others in their communities

Impact Statement

60+ women received sewing machines enabling home-based tailoring businesses; an SHG canteen in Panchkula provides daily income for members; Project Vriddhi โ€” conducted with Rotary Club Chandigarh โ€” amplifies reach on International Women's Day.

Sewing Machine Distribution โ€” Project Vriddhi

Distributed 15 sewing machines to women in Sector 42, Chandigarh (Feb 2025, with Senior Deputy Mayor Banti). On International Women's Day 2026, another distribution with Rotary Club Chandigarh under 'Project Vriddhi' at Community Centre, Sector-42.

SHG Canteen Initiative

Established a Self Help Group canteen on land provided by the Deputy Commissioner, Panchkula. SHG members gained the opportunity to prepare, manage, and sell affordable meals while developing business and operational skills.
